Tropical North Queensland Attractions
The Tropical North has some of the worlds most amazing attractions including the Great Barrier Reef only one and half hours off the coast and the Daintree Rainforest just north of Port Douglas. The World Heritage listed wet lands of North Queensland are among the most important in the world, having survived over 130 million years of climate change this region is home to over 390 species of plant. The Wet Tropics provides the only habitat for numerous rare species of both plant and animal. Tropical North Queensland is such a beautiful region that remains mostly untouched and where the ocean reaches the rainforest and the only place on earth where two World Heritage-listed places are side by side.
