Just minutes from the centre of Narooma, this picturesque beach looks out to Montague Island and is a popular location with locals and visitors.

Wagonga Forest, Narooma Wagonga Forest, Narooma

A fantasic spot to enjoy a picnic and then take some time to paddle, fish, bbq or just relax. The site is in Bodalla State Forest, accessed via Kianga and Box Cutting Roads, and then the Wagonga Scenic Drive (Tourist Drive 4) Take time to drive to the Lookout and then enjoy a delightful rainforest walk accessed from Box Cutting Road.

Montegue Island, Narooma Montegue Island, Narooma

Montague Island is around 80 hectares in size and 8 kilometres offshore from the township of Narooma, with historic links to the town and to the boating industries operating along the NSW south coast. Its lighthouse has operated since it was first commisssioned in the late 1800s and the stories, photos and documents that record its working life, provide a fascinating insight to the life of isolation led by its keepers and their families.

Including the jagged features of Mimosa Rocks and Ben Boyd National Parks together with Bournda's expansive beach areas, these parks offer a wealth of areas to both enjoy and explore. From Bermagui to the border, the coastal parks enchant you with endless trails, and reminders of many thousands of years of past Aboriginal habitation.

The Dimbaloo Centre is located in the small, historic craft village of Mogo (10kms south of Batemans Bay) on the South Coast of New South Wales. The works displayed on these pages are created by leading Aboriginal artists from the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

To the north, clings to the coastline and protects fragile beaches, rugged headlands and fascinating rock formations. Access is via the South Durras Rd 10kms north of Batemans Bay and via Pebbly Beach Rd about 20kms north of the Bay.
