Port Macquarie Events

The Festival involves Musicians coming together from all over Australia to celebrate the love of music. Enjoy the festive spirit and attend many different performances throughout the weekly activities. The Music Festival will maintain the high standard of performance and organisation which has been the hallmark of this important regional festival since 1996.

The Byron Bay Triathlon starts at 1pm at the Byron Bay Surf Club. The triathlon consists of a 1500m ocean swim followed by a 40km out & back cycle finished off with a 10km road run. Athletes from all around Australia arrive for this renowned sporting event. This year looks to be bigger than ever so get the family down to Byron Bay for an exciting day of racing.

Port Macquarie will host the Australian F1 Superboat Series in July. The National event will be staged on the Hastings River in front of Westport Park. Spectators will witness some action packed racing on the tight 2km circuit. During the race weekend a number of support classes will also compete, including the F1 class, F2000 class, F3 class, Mono class and Thundercats. The event will also include a mini boat show expo. An ideal event for the whole family.

Port Macquarie was chosen for a number of reasons, the main being the phenomenal support that Bodyboarding receives from both the residents' and the business community of the region. Some spectacular action will be seen over the nine days in Port Macquarie.
