Limestone Coast Attractions
The cultural history of the Limestone Coast goes back thousands of years before European arrival and is documented in the rich oral traditions continuing with the Ngarrindjeri Nation of people. There are significant traditional cultural sites throughout the districts of the Limestone Coast. Ngarrindjeri maintain three centers, two adjacent to the waterways and estuaries of the Coorong near Meringue. Let the family explore the many waterways, national parks, pre-historic fossils and caves by visiting some of these top attractions:
- Visit the white kangaroos, Bordertown
- Feed the possums at Umpherston Sinkhole, Mount Gambier
- Tour the Blue Lake, Mount Gambier
- Swim in the Pool of Siloam, Beachport
- Investigate the Petrified Forest, Port MacDonnell

The limestone Coast forms part of the Shipwreck Coast, with the unforgiving Southern Ocean laying claim to 70 vessels since the early 1880s. Visitors can take a scenic drive tour, boat tour or dive tour of the Shipwreck Coast.
